Angel Numbers, 11:11 and finding hope

I’ve always been spiritual and I’ve always been someone who looks for signs, for meaning, for little moments that feel like they’re trying to tell you something.

Sometimes it’s subtle. Sometimes it’s just a feeling you can’t quite explain. But it’s always been there.

And then life changed. My husband became ill and everything felt uncertain. The future felt far away, and belief, real, solid belief that everything was going to be okay, felt like too much to hold onto.

But hope was different. Hope felt smaller. Softer. More manageable. Like something nobody could take from me. And around that time, I started seeing 11:11. All the time.

On the clock. On my phone. In those tiny, passing moments where time just seems to land in front of you. And every time I saw it, I’d pause. Take a breath. Make a wish.

It became my thing (yes, you've guessed it, along with magpies). A quiet ritual. A moment just for me. A reminder that the universe was sending me a little sign that things were going to be okay.

I didn’t question it. I didn’t need to. It gave me something to hold onto when everything else felt uncertain.

And that was enough.

The Meaning Behind the Numbers

So what are angel numbers? They are repeating sequences that seem to appear at just the right time. Whether you believe they’re signs from the universe, moments of alignment, or simply patterns your mind begins to notice, they have a way of making you pause.

Here’s what those numbers are often said to mean:

111 – New beginnings and opportunities.
222 – Trust the process. Things are unfolding as they should.
333 – Support is all around you.
444 – You're on the right path. 
555 – Change is coming. It might feel uncomfortable, but it’s leading somewhere new.
666 – Refocus your thoughts. Come back to balance, gently and without judgement.
777 – Good things are coming. 
888 – Abundance incoming. Things are shifting in your favour.
999 – Time to let go. Endings and closure. Something is completing to make space for what’s next.
1010 – Keep moving forward, you’re exactly where you need to be.
1111 – Make a wish. A moment of magic, hope, and possibility.
1212 – Keep going, stay positive. Everything is aligning, even if it doesn’t feel like it yet.

So many of these resonate with me for different reasons and across different times. If there's one I'd pick time and time again, you've guessed it, it's 11:11! 

Why It Matters

You don’t have to fully believe in angel numbers. You don’t need to understand them. You just need to feel something when you see them. That's their power. 

And I found when life was so totally overwhelming, I didn't need answers (well I did, but couldn't always get them), I needed these moments and signs. 

Signs that things can change. Signs I wasn't alone. Signs that even in the hardest moments, there is still something to hold onto.

For me, that sign was 11:11.

And I still notice it now. The universe continuing to give me gentle nudges.
